Quantity Surveyor – interior fit out company

The Quantity Surveyor is a Team Member who supports the Construction and Design Team in the Pre-Construction, Construction and Post- Contract stage of the Projects to which he/she are assigned.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor must demonstrate their ability to work and act independently keeping in mind the goals of the client and the company.

Responsibilities:

-       Reviewing and understand the Design requirement’s.
-       Preparing the Budget Cost or Tender for submission.
-       Advise the Designer on different Design Concept costs.
-       Preparation of the Cost Plan for the Construction Manager.
-       Preparation of tender packages for Sub-Contractor pricing.
-       Responding to Sub-Contractor questions during the tendering stage.
-       Analyzing tender returns for completeness and compliance with documents.
-       Assisting the Construction Manager procuring the Sub-Contractors and material suppliers.
-       Certify Sub-contractor payments and Prepare Interim Payment Application to Client.
-       Analysis of Variation Cost is submitted by the Sub-contractor’s and preparing & issuing variation cost to the Client.
-       Preparation of the Project Final Account.
-       Collect and update market prices for material and Labour Cost, for Data base to be kept up to date.
-       Create and maintain current and up to date database of current unit pricing by product, manufacturer, materials and/or vendor.

Experience/skill:

-       Demonstrated proficiency in reading architectural and construction drawings and being able to efficiently build Bills of Quantity.
-       Knowledge of local market conditions and unit pricing a plus.
-       Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook;
-       Microsoft Project (a plus);
-       AutoCAD (a plus);
-       Bridge also employs the use of in-house software (training on the job and at our software supplier’s location) for managing projects – as such, demonstrated proficiency with computer database software is a plus.

Qualifications:

-       Degree / Diploma demonstrating appropriate proficiency.
-       Professional Qualifications relevant to the Region he/she is assigned.

Language requirement:

-       English, Cantonese (Spoken, Reading & Writing) essential. Mandarin a plus.
