Director Shanghai – Global Corporate Services – leading real estate service provider

To deliver valuable, profitable income through developing and managing relationships for the Asia Pacific region on core services for agency and occupier strategic advice within the context of client/account management.

-       Pronounced growth in regional CRE decision-making to Shanghai
-       Clients – increasingly demanding; require innovative, bespoke solutions, a tailored service and a “one stop shop”
-       A move to customer-facing matrix management structures
-       Culture change to enable swift response to greater market cycles and new competitors
-       One Team must be implemented by all staff – need greater understanding of strategies and employees’ views of them

Responsibilities:

-       Lead as client manager and co-ordinate team output to deliver client projects across countries and skill lines
-       Manage client team in the delivery of account management work
-       Manage wide variety of client needs including transactions, valuations, consulting, and project management
-       Target and initiate research into potential clients
-       Win and deliver new business from existing and new clients
-       Maximize financial benefits for clients (either minimizing costs for occupancy, or maximizing value of property assets through lettings)
-       Ensure local GCS teams are aware of latest trends/outputs through local presentation when in various offices
-       Ensure consistent level of quality in output of local providers
-       Represent company values around the business

Experience/Skills:

-       Business management skills e.g. knowledge of relevant accounting practices, business planning tools
-       Selling and negotiating skills
-       IT skills (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and lotus)
-       Ability to maneuver in Chinese business practices, and ability to work with different cultures in Asia
-       Exceptional Client relationship skills
-       Excellent presentation/communication skills
-       Long term experience in China
-       Likely to have a minimum of 10 years experience across a variety of property skill areas and geographies within a corporate environment
-       Experience of working as part of a team to deliver client service
-       Prior experience of managing multi-cultural and geographically spread teams

Qualifications:

-       Undergraduate degree in real estate, business or related field

Language requirement:

-       Mandarin
